The Access Point 3000, RBT3K-AG, is an IEEE 802.11a/b/g access point that provides transparent, wireless high-speed data communications between the wired LAN and fixed, portable or mobile devices equipped with an 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g wireless adapter.
The Access Point 3000 provides the following features:
-Local network connection via 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports or 54 Mbps wireless interface supporting up to 250 mobile users per radio.
-IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g compliant.
-Virtual Access Points, VAPs, allow you to specify up to eight SSIDs per radio interface, one for the default radio interface and seven SSIDs to create up to seven Virtual Access Points (VAPs), each with its own authentication and security settings, per radio interface.
-Rogue AP Detection provides the ability to detect access points not authorized to participate in the network. This feature scans the airwaves and collects information about access points in the area.
-Advanced security through 64-bit (40-bit), 128-bit, 152-bit Wired Equivalent Protection, WEP, encryption, IEEE 802.1x port authentication, Wi-Fi Protected Access, WPA, AES (802.11i ready), SSID broadcast disable, remote authentication via RADIUS server, and MAC address filtering features to protect your sensitive data and authenticate only authorized users to your network.
-Provides seamless roaming within the IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g WLAN environment.
-Automatically selects the available channel at power-up.
